'Chemical Soup' Churns in Ocean

Docs & Non-Fiction (Eco / Green)
[ 20:45 - from VBS ]

The team from Vice Magazine explore the Great Eastern Garbage Patch - an enormous build-up of plastics and garbage located in the Pacific, north of the Hawaiian Islands.   This journey takes us through one of the most remote stretches of water in the world, thousands of miles from land, where literally tons of garbage and non-recycleable plastic are sucked into this area from the encircling currents.  When you see the samples of water they take, you will realize how bad this problem is... we really need to protect our Mother Earth and start being much more conscious of what we do with our waste.
