This video is part of our Celebrating Black History Spotlight

Back in the heat of the civil rights movement, a group of TSU students held sit-ins in local cafeterias. These were the first of their kind in Houston and brought both praise and violent retaliation. Surprisingly, these protests are rarely spoken of, which makes this video all the more interesting.
