An Open Letter To Maria Bamford

by Marc Ostrick

An Open Letter To Maria Bamford

Dear Maria Bamford,

We miss you. We miss you a lot.

It was such a shock to suddenly see you disappear from Super Deluxe's website, without warning, like you were a child snatched away at a playground. I wanted to call the news and issue an Amber Alert.

We had been planning on featuring your side-splitting series for months on eGuiders.com. We told everyone about your show… Why won't Adult Swim keep your show online?

I immediately scoured the Internet to see if you might have popped up somewhere else. After about 15 minutes, ahhh, there you were – on Joost. Sure, your episodes had been condensed into five installments. I didn't mind. You were still the Maria Bamford Show to me.

But you lasted in your new home for only a few weeks. Then one day I went to turn on some friends to the series, and poof! You were gone.

Another search, this time it's much harder to find you, and now there is only the first episode left...

WATCH IT HERE

Could it be true? Could The Maria Bamford Show become a relic of the Internet? Please don't let this happen.

We want the world to know how talented and hysterical you are. The Maria Bamford Show deserves to be watched, recognized and celebrated for the brilliant original web series it is. We'd be happy to host the series for you if you can't find a home.

Let us know what you think. We'll leave a light on for you.

Best,
Marc Ostrick
